POSITION:           Membership and Alliance Building Coordinator     

STATUS:              Volunteer Staff / Student Intern

REPORT TO:        Program Manager

 

 

PURPOSE:  Perform Alliance management duties under general supervision of the director.  Must exercise initiative and communicate the Alliance of Church-based Community Developer’s Christian ethos, and demonstrate a quality Christian life that is an example to others.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.                  Assist with membership development plans

2.                  Conduct membership research and recruitment

3.                  Develop membership materials and communications

4.                  Manage membership Web page and database

5.                  Responsible for the final production of ACCD’s Newsletter

6.                  Plan membership meetings and conferences

7.                  Represent and present ACCD to the public and potential members

8.                  Perform other duties as required

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self‑education, prior experience, or on‑the‑job training.  Must have a general office experience.  Knowledge of general office procedures and practices required.  Must possess good telephone and interpersonal skills.  Requires experience in letter writing and correspondence procedures. Must be able to operate a typewriter, copy machine, and calculator.  Must be proficient in general computer skills utilizing various software applications.  Must be a team player and open to suggestions. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.  Requires a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM and monthly progress assessment / reporting.

POSITION:           Community Development Training Assistant

PURPOSE: 

Perform the duties of a community development training assistant under general supervision of the director.  Must exercise initiative and communicate the Alliance of Church-based Community Developer’s Christian ethos, and demonstrate a quality Christian life that is an example to others.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The intern will assist in the planning of the training program, assist in the preparation for training, assist with compilation of training materials, coordinate the follow-up with training participants, and be responsible for keeping records.

PURPOSE:  Perform the duties of a corporate fund/special events assistant under general supervision of the director.  Must exercise initiative and communicate the Alliance of Church-based Community Developer’s Christian ethos, and demonstrate a quality Christian life that is an example to others.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The intern will be responsible for researching potential corporate donors, make initial contact with the potential donors, and assist in writing and packaging funding proposals.  The intern will also assist with the planning and implementation of special events, and provide general office support.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self‑education, prior experience, or on‑the‑job training.  Must have a general office experience. Candidates should have ability to work independently, have strong proficiency in computer operations, knowledge of general office procedures and practices, and a strong research, interpersonal, and written skills.  Must be a team player and open to suggestions.

PURPOSE:  Perform the duties of a director’s assistant under general supervision of the director.  Must exercise initiative and communicate the Alliance of Church-based Community Developer’s Christian ethos, and demonstrate a quality Christian life that is an example to others.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The intern will be responsible for keeping records, assuring quality, planning and follow-up.  Will also go on site visits to ACCD member churches, attend public meetings and represent the organizations.

5.                  Coordinate press releases and radio announcements

6.                  Related Web page management

7.                  Design and edit quarterly newsletters

8.                  Represent and present ACCD to the public and potential members

9.                  Perform other duties as required

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.                  Assist with the planning of ACCD Website

2.                  Assist with formatting of documents for posting on the Web

3.                  Design promotional and marketing materials for posting on the Web

4.                  Format quarterly newsletters for posting on the Web

5.                  Perform other duties as required

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self‑education, prior experience, or on‑the‑job training.  Must be proficient in general computer skills utilizing Microsoft FrontPage, Word, Excel and other software applications. Knowledge of general office procedures and practices required.  Must possess good telephone and interpersonal skills. Should be able to operate a copy machine, and calculator.    Must be a team player, open to suggestions, and able to meet deadlines.
