Happy New Year to you in the precious name of our Lord Jesus. I have enclosed for you the booklet and application form for this year’s Vision to Reality - Community Outreach Leadership and Organizational

Development training program. In the words of a pastor, “With all the challenges we face in the work of the Lord, there’s never been a better time for Vision to Reality training than now.” 

Probably your community outreach ministry, like many others, is confronted with leadership and structural issues, community transition and relations’ issues, fundraising challenges, and many more.  Or you’d like to know the current fundraising techniques, want to recruit quality Board of Directors and learn how to get them to be active in support of your ministry, attract and keep volunteers, plan strategically for the future of your ministry, and learn about successful ministry models. Vision to Reality is a sound and well rounded training that will help to build your leadership and organizational capacity to stay ahead of the game.

 The training is designed to empower you to restore hope and wholeness in your ministry and the community the Lord has called you to serve.  About one hundred and fifty groups that have completed the training since its inception are growing in their operations and abilities to actively engage the issues of their communities.

 If you have attended this training in the past we’d ask that you pass on the information to other churches and ministries in your network. Or you may want others in your organization to attend so that they can be better equipped to serve the Lord in your community.  Many groups have had their entire staff trained and do send new staff members every year to be trained.  The program is also available to previous graduates as refresher training.

 However, if you have not taking this training before, I’d encourage your enrollment and participation. The training commences with an orientation session on February 26, 2003 followed by six Saturday seasons and concludes with a graduation ceremony in April. 

 We accept two persons per organization.  The cost of the training is about $1,050 per person (based on a class of 20) but we have greatly subsidized the cost to make it financially convenient for you.  The tuition fee is only $400 with a 25 percent discount for current members of ACCD only.  Also, previous graduates may participate at a 50 percent discount.  Partial scholarship may be available. I sincerely hope that you will take ACCDge of this affordable yet timely and proven training program.
