ORGANIZATIONAL ELIGIBILITY

Eligible organizations are selected through a competitive application process.  All applicants must meet the following threshold criteria.

• Church-based status - must be a church or a church-based organization (CBO) with tax-exempt status [501(c)(3)] for public benefit, or has an established plan to obtain the tax-exempt status.

• Service area - applicants must have a defined service area.

• Ministry focus - applicants must show evidence of serving the low-income population.

• .Strategic plan - applicants must be willing to participate in an organizational assessment and strategic planning process.

• Demonstrated commitment - organizations must show commitment to the training through the Board of Trustees’ resolution to   free up adequate time for their representatives to fully participate in the training program.
